Currently, an organic label for Spirulina does not exist in France, which is why you will not find the AB logo (organically grown) on the packaging of our products. Nonetheless, Ecocert or Naturland, which are private labels may be included...
To assess the quality of spirulina, a criterion used is the lack of bitterness that results from the drying process. The colour of the spirulina should be a deep blue / deep green because as it ages, it lightens in colour.
Avoid capsules and tablets containing additives or adjuvants and choose 100% spirulina tablets.
Spirulina is a tropical algae and needs intense sunlight to live, grow and produce vitamins and antioxidants. Therefore, choose a spirulina from a region with a warm climate and make sure you know its origin!
