Skin benefits of spirulina

Anti-aging effect: spirulina helps cell regeneration due to its richness in vitamins with antioxidants A and B (from B1 to B12). It contains trace elements (selenium, manganese, copper and zinc), which are active in the fight against cellular aging by acting in synergy with the following skin pigments: beta-carotene (protects the skin from sunlight and prevents dryness), phycocyanin (antioxidant and detoxifying), chlorophyll, and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as gamma - linolenic acid. Spirulina contains other antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase (an important enzyme which is part of the defence system that fights against free radicals) and flavonoids, which promotes the effective removal of heavy metals and toxins. All of these components contribute to delaying the effects of aging skin, mucous and brain cells and significantly slows the signs of aging, wrinkles and spots. It helps to maintain beautiful, firm, soft and supple skin.

Used as an external treatment (e.g. ICI), it absorbs impurities, cleanses and moisturizes to give a glowing complexion.
